Patrick Krou (aka “Krouchian”) is a producer and composer originally from Montreal, Canada, now residing in Madrid. His foray into the world of music for advertising began as a staff composer at Razorhead Music in New York City in 2002.

In 2006, he began freelancing under the moniker Telegraf and was soon commissioned to score three back-to-back spots for the DSW Shoes spring campaign. Numerous national TV spots followed, including campaigns for Neutrogena and Victoria's Secret. Some of his tracks have recently been licensed for the Netflix series Chef's Table, and on the pilot episode of Fearless.

In 2011, he teamed up with long-time friend and collaborator Josh Sitron - along with Rob Hann - to compose the score for Jonah Hill’s animated series, Allen Gregory, on FOX. Following the show's quick demise, the team was invited to submit underscore and opening theme sketches for AMC’s forthcoming drama series, Rectify, whilst in pre-production. Patrick’s own musical contributions were eventually compiled into a short underscore album entitled Sitting Quietly In The Back Seat of Cars

The album’s evocative textures caught the attention of Brooklyn-based filmmaker Topaz Adizes, who was wrapping up the edit of his new docudrama, A Seed of Maize, thus bringing Patrick onboard to provide the film’s score.

Patrick spent the latter half of his 13 years in Brooklyn working at Zebulon, the legendary Williamsburg music bar/venue, until its unfortunate closing in late 2012. Wearing the many hats of live sound engineer, bartender, DJ, and member of the music curating team, he also played electric bass and the Rhodes piano with the venue's house band, Fazer.

As new friendships developed, so did studio collaborations and non-commissioned remixes for the likes of TV On The Radio, Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld (Arcade Fire), The Sway Machinery, Holly Miranda, Pink Noise, Nerve (JoJo Mayer) and Andy Rourke (The Smiths). He also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the late, legendary avant-garde filmmaker Jonas Mekas, with whom blending music, noise and poetry whilst enjoying a few pints was commonplace at Zebulon.

Patrick recently composed the score for the feature film, Le Miroir (2021). A psychological drama written and directed by Montreal filmmaker Marc Joly-Corcoran.

In October 2005, his track Pink and Gold was reviewed by Tim Oliver at Computer Music Magazine UK.
